About the Brewery...

The O'Hanlon family has been in the pub trade since 1910.    The brewery was established in 1995 and was originally situated under the railway arches at Vauxhall Station in London. Expansion meant that the O'Hanlons made the decision to move to Devon in 2000. The Royal Oak was originally brewed by Eldridge Pope in 1896, revived by O'Hanlons to the same recipe, it is now for the first time available as a bottle-conditioned beer.

About the Beer...

A rich amber beer with pleasant sweet esters at first on the nose, followed by malt and apricots. The taste is robust, hoppy and malty with apricot notes. This is Great British country brewing at its finest. This beer won Gold for best bottled ale at the 2005 Taste if the West Festival, and Bronze at the 2004 SIBA (South West) Truckers Maltings Festival.

PLEASE NOTE: As this beer ferments in the bottle sediment will exist.  As a guide store upright and pour extremely carefully.
