The Nethergate Brewery is nestled on the outskirts of picturesque Pentlow in the Stour Valley. Head Brewer, Tom Knox, uses the finest malting barley variety, Maris Otter which is grown on the surrounding farm. Discussions are underway to grow hops on the land too, which would give the beers "provenance" - the new buzzword in beer which defines where a product is made and the source of the ingredients.
