About the Brewery ...
The Huyghe-Melle Brewery is an independent, family-run Belgian Brewery, located near Ghent. It dates back to 1654 when it was called Brouwerij Mouterij den Appel. It was bought on 1906 by Leon Huyghe and a new brewhouse was installed 1939. By 1985 the brewery had evolved into a modern, high-fermentation brewery.
About the Beer ...
The brewery began production of fruit beers in 1993 with their floris range. This is a wheat beer blended with apple juice, sweet and easy to drink. The mouthfeel is sugary and with sweet apple flavour dominating. A great favourite with fruit beer lovers!
