Erdinger Weissbräu dates back to 1886, the year in which construction of a brewery in Erding was officially recorded for the first time. As the first wheat beer brewery, Erdinger went on to expand beyond Bavaria's boundaries. Today, it is the world's largest wheat beer brewery, where beer is brewed according to traditional recipes, but using state-of-the-art technology.

The home of wheat beer has always been Bavaria where around 1,000 types of wheat beer are brewed.This specialty wheat beer gets its 'crystal clear' appearance from a particularly long filtration process, known in the industry as "fine filtration", whereby the beer becomes completely clear. This gives Erdinger Weissbier 'crystal clear' its sparkling and refreshing character - ideal for quenching a thirst.
