About the Brewery …

The Brooklyn Brewery was established in 1987 by journalist Steve Hindy and banker Tom Potter. Their aim was to restore a brewing tradition wiped out by Prohibition and the Depression. They hired retired brewer Bob Mueller, whose grandfather had brewed in Brooklyn and had left him his old brewing recipes. An American success story, the brewery now ranks amongst the top 40 breweries in America.

About the Beer …

This is the brewery’s flagship beer and is brewed in the “Vienna” style. It has a lovely amber colour, rich malts and caramel in the finish. The beer undergoes “dry-hopping”, a mainly British technique of adding fresh hops while the beers undergoes long, cold maturation. The final result is a beer with aromatic complexity and a refreshing aftertaste.
